What's better than crying?
At the age of two author Helen Keller was stricken with a devastating disease that left her deaf and blind. Yet she went on to say, “I cried because I had no shoes until I met a man who had no feet.”
I know we all have at least one difficult situation in our lives that knocks the wind right out of us. Helen Keller had many yet she chose to look at something positive.
Today I want you to consider not the negatives of your life, but the positives. I want you to take a moment and thank God for the good things he’s done in your life. There are many!
1 Samuel 12:24 tells us, “Be sure to fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart; consider what great things he has done for you.”
So what is it? Can you list two, five maybe ten? I’m sure you can if you just took a moment to consider them.
Too many times in our lives we get so stuck on the negative and overlook the good things God has already done for us. As a result we miss the opportunity to give him thanks. That’s why Psalm 63:3 says, “Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you.”
Here’s a tough truth: your life will be much more rewarding if you spend your time giving God thanks instead of complaining. In fact you’ll find that you’re a much more pleasant person. People will want to be around you more and your overall health will improve.
Let me answer the question now, what’s better than crying? Giving thanks!
So take my challenge. Take five to ten minutes and write down as many things as you can that you’re thankful for. Then put it on your refrigerator or your mirror. Read them and then offer thanks to God.
I’m praying for you,
Pastor Zac

Just a year of living in Temecula has brought so many blessings. Being near three of my children and their families is wonderful. However, attending Fusion has definitely added to my spiritual family as so many of you are like a sister or brother and that is awesome.
It's a blessing to have you as part of the Fusion family Connie! What would we do without you?
