I have Super Powers

Bruce Lee, Chuck Norris and Pastor Zac are the three new Super Heroes in a game being created by a sixteen year old youth kid. I have to say I am a little overwhelmed by the status of Super Hero but even more overwhelmed and humbled to be put in the in the lineup with Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris. My Round House kick is pretty amazing but not as amazing as Bruce & Chuck’s. Those guys are legendary powerhouses. Their super powers are obvious. I guess that’s why I was told that my powers haven’t been created in the game yet. It seems like all the good powers are taken.

Whether they come up with a super power for me in the game or not, God’s word tells me that within me lies the greatest power of all. It says “Because you belong to him (Jesus), the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death.” (Romans 8:2)

The truth is that if we confess Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior we have within us the greatest power in the universe. The power of freedom! Not just any freedom but freedom from addiction, past hurts, abuse, anger, depression, loneliness, self doubt, feelings of worthlessness, and the list goes on and on and on.

The power of God in our lives is the greatest super power we can ever get our hands on. It was with that same power that the people of the Bible tore down walls with their bare hands, parted the Red Sea, took down giants with a sling shot, overthrew empires, freed the slaves, faced persecution and torture, and so much more.

When we submit to the word of God there is nothing we can’t do that is within the will of God. So if you are feeling defeated, cast down, scared and even a little afraid rest in the mighty power of God. Let Christ come into your life with his amazing super power of love and wash over you with his presence. Let him be the power that saves and sustains your life today.

Serving Him,

Pastor Zac
